Class Rules, Rewards, and Consequences

What are the classroom rules, rewards, and consequences?

1) Be Responsible: (examples below)

  • Follow directions quickly and quietly. (Our days are always packed, moving from one activity to another!)
  • Use your iPad for SCIENCE assignments when in SCIENCE class. (No working on other subject assignments or playing unrelated games, etc!)
  • No running or horsing around. (We have glassware and expensive science tools, and don't want to hurt someone!)

2) Be Respectful: (examples below)

  • Keep hands, feet, and objects to self. (Let your classmates focus on their work!)
  • Raise your hand if you have a question or comment. (Be considerate!!)
  • Treat others as you would want to be treated. (Be compassionate and friendly!)
3) Be Prepared and Ready to Learn:  (examples below)
  • Have all materials that you need for science with you when you walk through the door. (Not left in your locker or at home!)
  • Smile and give it your all! (Always be positive, stay focused, be willing to try again, and continually put forth your BEST effort... with a "growth mindset" you will be ready for the future!)

Rewards: verbal praise, prize from prize box, treat, an email or phone call home, treat, STAMPS!!! (stamps are the BEST thing for your team!)

  1. verbal warning
  2. 2nd verbal warning
