Hello! My name is Melissa Abinanti, and I will be your Math teacher for 6th grade. Here are some fun facts about me...

 

*I was born and raised in Staten Island, NY. I graduated from Tottenville HS, and went on to Wagner College. After graduation, I got a job teaching 6th grade Science at I.S.51 in Staten Island.

 

*In 2003, my husband and I got married and moved to Jackson, NJ. 

 

*In September 2004, I got a job teaching 6th grade Math and Science at Memorial Middle School. I was there until the reconfiguration, where I moved to North. This is my 9th year teaching 6th grade Math at North. I am proud to be a HORNET!

 

*My husband and I live in Freehold with our 3 beautiful children - Giana, Nicolette, and Luca. 

 

*Giana is a freshman in college at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Nicolette is a freshman at Freehold High School, and Luca is going into 7th grade at Eisenhower Middle School.

 

*We have a mini-labradoodle named Penny. 

 

*We are a NY Yankees and NY Rangers family! 

 

*My favorite holiday is Christmas and my favorite candy is Peppermint Patties.
