Hello! My name is Melissa Abinanti, and I will be your Math teacher for 6th grade. Here are some fun facts about me...

 

*I was born and raised in Staten Island, NY. I graduated from Tottenville HS, and went on to Wagner College. After graduation, I got a job teaching 6th grade Science at I.S.51 in Staten Island.

 

*In 2003, my husband and I got married and moved to Jackson, NJ. 

 

*In September 2004, I got a job teaching 6th grade Math and Science at Memorial Middle School. I was there until the reconfiguration, where I moved to North. This is my 8th year teaching 6th grade Math at North. I am proud to be a HORNET!

 

*My husband and I live in Freehold with our 3 beautiful children - Giana, Nicolette, and Luca. 

 

*Giana is going into her Junior year at Freehold Boro High School. Nicolette is going into 7th grade at Eisenhower Middle School. Luca is going into 5th grade at Catena Elementary School. 

 

*We have a mini-labradoodle named Penny. 

 

*We are a NY Yankees and NY Rangers family! 

 

*My favorite holiday is Christmas and my favorite candy is Peppermint Patties.
