Grading

Assignments will be graded according to a Percent System as outlined by the district.

          TESTS---60% (tests, projects, major writing

                                              assignments)

          QUIZZES---40% (quizzes, graded classwork, minor                                                       writing assignments)

Assignments:

1. Assignments are fully explained in class and students are given time to work on these tasks during class time.  Any unfinished assignments from class need to be finished at home and are due on the date specified. 

2. In the event of an absence, it is the student’s responsibility to make up missed work.  Work from an absence must be made up according to district policy.  Generally, one day is given for each day of absence.  Vacation homework will not be given in advance.  Enjoy the time with your family. If a child is absent, he/she can access daily assignments in Schoology.

3. All projects and papers are expected on their due dates.  

4. Students are given advance notice of tests, quizzes and dates that projects and published writing assignments are due.

5. All assignments turned in must be the student’s best work.
