The opportunity to choose students preferred middle school electives for the 2021-2022 school year is available until June 3, 2021. View a listing of the electives before selecting the preferred elective.
Review the Elective Selection Instructions and then visit the Parent Portal (preferably on a computer) to complete the selection process. Students who decline to select a preferred elective during this time will be placed in class sections based on enrollment.
Students Entering Grade 6 or Grade 7
Students entering grade 6 or 7 will explore their interests through a rotation of elective classes in the 4 quarters of the academic year. Selection will be required as follows:
- Current 5th grade students (entering 6th) must select their 1st choice for their “Special Elective” and optionally select a Band course.
- Current 6th grade students (entering 7th) must select their 1st choice for their “Special Elective” and optionally select a Band course.
Students Entering Grade 8
Students entering grade 8 will explore their special areas of interest through a rotation of two electives in the two semesters of the academic year. Selection will be required as follows:
- Current 7th grade students (entering 8th) must select their two semesters (S1 and S2) “Special Electives” and optionally select a Band course.
