FAQ

Q: How can I best support my student through the 8th grade??

A: The best way to help your student during this new school year is to be supportive. Have your student create a dedicated work space at home that will help their focus. A routine will be key in preparing students for success. Encourage them to ask for help from me- I am easily accessible.

Q: My child told me there is no homework. Is that true?

A: Please encourage your student to check Schoology to be sure all assignments are completed.

Q: How can I best help my child in Social Studies?

A: Strong daily attendance is the best way to help your student in language arts. Much of what is discussed in class will be assessed through quizzes and tests. It is also beneficial to talk with your student about what we are studying. Positive reinforcement of strong reading and studying habits will lead to better success in the classroom and beyond.

Q: How can I see what my child is doing in Social Studies? How are they graded?

A: The best method for parents to learn about the activities in Social Studies class is to ask your child to show you our Schoology page.
